MaicNexus is open to university teams, early-stage builders, established AI startups, and SMEs. Teams are grouped by both what they are building and how mature the team or solution already is.

Teams can have between two and five members. Solo entries are not accepted. All team members must be registered before the registration deadline to be considered valid participants.

Yes. The registration fee is per participant and must be paid by every member of the team before the deadline. Incomplete payments will result in the team not being confirmed.

Choose your registration path in four steps: pick Infrastructure or Application, choose Innovation Group or Growth Group, align to the right industry vertical, and upload your project proposal during registration.

Mixed teams should enter the group that best reflects the actual maturity of the team and solution. If the project is still early-stage, Innovation Group is usually the better fit; if it is already operating as a mature startup or SME, Growth Group is usually more appropriate.

Teams should build an AI-powered solution that clearly fits one track direction and one industry vertical. A project proposal is required during registration, and the solution must be demonstrated live during Demo Day.

There are no hard restrictions on frameworks, languages, or platforms. However, teams must use AI as a core part of their solution, and pre-built projects that were developed before the hackathon are not permitted.

Results are announced at the end of Demo Day on 21 August 2026 after all judging reviews are completed. Winning teams will be contacted directly and announced across official channels.
